How We Serve

At Collins Children’s Home and Family Ministries we aspire to see children and families flourish in Christ-centered homes. Our goal in every situation is to see families grow together in an environment of mutual trust and respect.

Our Approach

On Campus Housing

We provide residential housing to children from birth to 21. Our group home model provides an environment where up to eight children live together as siblings. While in our home the children experience a loving Christian atmosphere, learn to get along with others, develop relationships and settle differences.
Children who are a part of our residential services at Collins Home are provided professional counseling during their stay. This approach allows us to walk with them through childhood trauma, behavioral issues and teaches coping mechanisms to assist with the challenges of life.

Strengthening Families

We are currently partnering with Heath’s Haven to provide families in our community the opportunity to improve their life skills through the Strengthening Families Program. This 17 week program is offered to any member of our community at no cost.

Reunification

While we know there are times when children for a variety of reasons many need residential care at our home, we always seek to reunify families. Our case manager works hand in hand with our on campus parents and placement families to keep the lines of communication open. Our care team works to ensure that the transition into and out of care is seamless.
