Roxie’s Resale thrift store

Roxie’s Resale

Roxie’s Resale - formerly Collins Closet - is closing. On March 8, 2014, the Collins Closet thrift store opened, and we have faithfully served the community and the children's home for 11 years.

Over that time, the profit margins at the store have been tight, and in January 2024 we renovated with the hope of increasing our market share.

We adjusted our hours, recruited new staff and volunteers, and worked hard to pass along items that didn't sell to others in need. Unfortunately, and despite our best efforts, the store didn't gain a greater share of the market.

Recently, the safety of our staff, volunteers and customers has been at risk due to increased homelessness and drug use near our location.

With the recent closure of two other local thrift stores (Boys Camp in Westminster and Salvation Army in Seneca), we at Collins have made the difficult decision to put our efforts behind other fundraising efforts.

Beginning the week of April 6, we will no longer accept donations. Over the next couple of months, we will be working to sell as many of the items as we can. Our goal is to close the store by June 1st. Unsold items will be donated to appropriate local non-profit organizations, and to Appalachian relief efforts helping those impacted by hurricane Helene.

To all our friends in the community who have shopped, donated, and volunteered: we cannot thank you enough for your support!

Roxie’s Resale is located at 504 W North 1st St. in Seneca and is open Thursdays through Saturdays from 10-4 until May 31. Donations will not be accepted after Saturday, April 5.
