One of his Favorite Things

A couple of weeks ago, I got a text message from one of our house parents with this picture, and it simply said, "one of his favorite things." 

Collins Home Family Ministries is not just a place, it's a sanctuary brimming with peace and home to Oconee's finest wildlife. The moment you step onto our campus, you're enveloped in the palpable love of God. From its foundation to its purpose, this place is truly special, and you, our supporters, are the lifeblood of it! Your contributions directly impact the lives of the children we serve, making you an essential part of our mission. 

Four months ago, this young boy and his family were on the brink of homelessness. Today, he's comfortably seated, watching wild turkeys pass by his front window. The journey from despair to hope, from uncertainty to stability, is a testament to the transformative power of Collins Home Family Ministries. Serving children is not just an honor but a privilege we don't take for granted. And the joy we derive from the seemingly minor things, like sharing a moment of tranquility with them as they watch the turkeys stroll by, is immeasurable.

At Collins Home Family Ministries, we aspire to see children and families flourishing in Christ-centered homes. We know where our children come from and the seemingly bleak reality they face. However, we believe and dream for them daily because they may not have the strength to dream for themselves.
