The Unique Music of Prayer
In our staff meeting on Wednesday, our Executive Director, Kelly Ross, talked about how each staff member prays over Collins Home. The house parents may pray for specific needs or moments with our kids that may have happened in a day, where our Case Manager may pray for our kids’ families and the house parents, our Thrift Store manager may pray for the customers at our store and how we can help the community, and I find myself praying for all those that support us, our volunteers, and their families.
I was struck with a vision of an orchestra playing all their different instruments, working in beautiful harmony in their own, very vital role; the blending of their unique sound creating a new piece of art that moves people in many ways. I then began to picture this music in Heaven, it brought to mind how the Bible describes worship before God.
I saw our prayers over Collins Home being woven together like a symphony in praise to our Father. It brought tears to my eyes picturing how He has called us to serve His children, and every moment He gives us to serve our kids and their families in His honor.
Today, I thank God for the nearly 45 years of prayer all of Oconee has prayed and continues to pray over and for Collins Home. You are with us in that beautiful music, asking God to continue to guide us in His will and His outpouring of love on our campus and all who come here. Thank you!
